When working with laser systems of laser class 3R and higher, severe damage to the human eye can occur. The human eye can be permanently damaged by direct or indirect laser exposure. Retinal injuries mostly occur in the range of 400-1400nm, while defects on the cornea or lens occur in the UV range (190-400nm). Therefore, it is essential to protect the eyes accordingly with suitable laser safety goggles. Laser safety goggles certified according to the valid standard DIN EN 207 (full protection) meet legal requirements and safely protect the eyes from dangerous laser radiation.
