Laser Safety Goggles

Working with laser systems of the laser class 3R and higher can cause serious damage to the human eye. The human eye can be permanently damaged by direct or indirect laser radiation. Injuries on the retina usually occur in the range of 400-1400nm, while defects on the cornea or lens occur in the UV range (190-400nm). Therefore, it is essential to protect the eyes with the help of a suitable laser safety goggles. The laser safety goggles certified to the valid standard DIN EN 207 (full protection) comply with the legal regulations and protect the eyes against dangerous laser radiation. Laser goggles and their filters are designed to absorb the specific energy of the laser. Therefore, the optimum safety goggles must be selected explicitly for the required wavelength range, the radiation peak value and the required optical density. Of course, the daylight transmission, the field of vision and the wearing comfort of the frame also play a decisive role. The version of the laser safety glasses prevents lateral penetration of the laser beam.

Beispielkennzeichnung:
>9>0 1080 nm D LB6 + IRM LB7
>9>0 - 1080 nm OD7 + 59%VLT

Kennzeichnung Erklärung
>950>– 1080 nm Wellenlängenbereich für die Schutzfunktion
D Laserbetriebsart, D = Dauerstrich, I = Impuls, R = Risenimpuls, M = Modengekoppelte Laser
LB Schutzstufe
OD optische Dichte
VLT Tageslichtransmission

1. Anwendungsbereich/Verwendungszweck
